Why we started
EOH Pilates Studio was founded in 2021 after noticing a pattern in Utrecht: people wanted Pilates that feels calm and clear, but many sessions in the market were either overly choreographed or pushed intensity at the expense of precision. The missing piece wasn’t motivation. It was a repeatable method: the same core cues, the same movement standards, and progressions that are gradual enough to hold form.
The studio approach was built around a simple rule: if an exercise cannot be performed with stable breath mechanics, ribcage control, and consistent tempo, it is not yet the right progression. That rule keeps training honest. It also makes Pilates feel like training rather than entertainment—unflashy, methodical, and surprisingly effective when practiced consistently.
Utrecht is a practical city with busy calendars. The goal was never to demand a perfect lifestyle, but to create a structure that fits real weeks: commuting days, travel, late meetings, and varying energy. That is why we emphasize clear starting points, minimal effective frequency, and documented notes that make the next session feel connected.
